Ingredients

For the Apple Pie Dip:

2 medium-sized apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled, cored, and diced

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 cup cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup Greek yogurt or sour cream

1/4 cup powdered sugar

For the Cinnamon Tortilla Chips:

4 large flour tortillas

2 tablespoons butter, melted

1 tablespoon sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

Prepare the Apple Filling: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the diced apples, lemon juice, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar, and cornstarch. Stir well to coat the apples. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, until the apples are tender but not mushy. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Let it cool slightly.

Make the Dip Base: In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add the Greek yogurt (or sour cream) and powdered sugar, mixing until well combined and creamy.

Combine the Layers: In a serving dish, spread the cream cheese mixture on the bottom, then layer the warm apple mixture on top. If desired, sprinkle additional cinnamon on top for extra flavor.

Prepare the Cinnamon Tortilla Chips: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut the flour tortillas into wedges (like a pizza). In a small bowl, mix the sugar and ground cinnamon together. Brush both sides of each tortilla wedge with melted butter, then sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.

Bake the Chips: Place the tortilla wedges in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until golden and crisp. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.

Serve: Once the chips are finished baking and the dip is slightly cooled, serve the Apple Pie Dip with the cinnamon tortilla chips on the side. Enjoy this delightful twist on a classic dessert!
