Ingredients

3 medium-sized firm apples (such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

½ teaspoon nutmeg

¼ teaspoon sea salt

Optional toppings: caramel sauce, maple syrup, or whipped cream for dipping

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Wash and dry the apples thoroughly. Cut each apple into quarters and remove the core. Slice each quarter into wedges about ½-inch thick.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sea salt. Whisk until well combined.

Add the apple wedges to the bowl and toss gently until each wedge is evenly coated in the mixture.

Spread the coated apple wedges in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, flipping the wedges halfway through, until they are golden brown and slightly crispy on the outside.

Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Serve warm, drizzled with caramel sauce or maple syrup, or alongside whipped cream for dipping if desired.
