Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning

3 tablespoons olive oil, divided

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup chicken broth

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Salt and pepper to taste

Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

Season the Seafood: In a bowl, toss the shrimp with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and half of the Cajun seasoning. Rub the remaining Cajun seasoning over the salmon fillets.

Sear the Salmon: In a large skillet over medium heat, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, place the salmon fillets skin-side down. Cook for about 4-5 minutes without moving them, then carefully flip and cook for another 4 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and flaky. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Cook the Shrimp: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add the seasoned shrimp and sauté for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Remove from the skillet and set aside with the salmon.

Make the Garlic Cream Sauce: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the chicken broth and let it reduce for about 2 minutes. Then, lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream and lemon juice. Allow the sauce to simmer gently for about 3-5 minutes until it thickens slightly. Season with salt and pepper as needed.

Combine and Serve: Return the shrimp and salmon to the skillet with the garlic cream sauce. Gently coat the seafood with the sauce, allowing it to warm through for an additional minute.

Garnish and Present: Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving. Arrange on plates with lemon wedges alongside for an extra zing.
