Ingredients

1 cup vanilla ice cream

1 cup orange soda (preferably a craft or gourmet variety)

1/2 cup milk

1/4 cup vodka (for the dirty twist, optional)

2 tablespoons fresh orange juice

Zest of 1 orange

Whipped cream, for topping

Orange slices, for garnish

Maraschino cherries, for garnish

Optional: A splash of grenadine for sweetness & color

Instructions

Prepare the Ice Cream Base: In a blender, combine the vanilla ice cream, milk, vodka (if using), fresh orange juice, and orange zest. Blend until smooth but still thick; do not over-blend.

Layer the Float: In a tall glass, pour a splash of orange soda to coat the bottom. Slowly pour the ice cream mixture on top, leaving some space at the top of the glass.

Add the Fizz: Gently pour the remaining orange soda over the ice cream mixture, allowing it to fizz up and create that float effect.

Garnish: Top with a generous swirl of whipped cream. Add an orange slice and a maraschino cherry on top for decoration. If desired, drizzle a bit of grenadine over the whipped cream for extra sweetness and a pop of color.

Serve: Use a straw and a long spoon to enjoy the creamy, tangy layers.
