Ingredients

4 cups water

4 green tea bags

1 cup fresh blueberries (plus extra for garnish)

1/4 cup honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)

Juice of 1 lemon

Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Ice cubes

Instructions

Prepare the Green Tea: Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the green tea bags. Let steep for 4-5 minutes, then remove the tea bags and allow the tea to cool to room temperature.

Make the Blueberry Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine the fresh blueberries and honey (or agave syrup). Gently mash the blueberries with a fork to release their juices. Cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until the mixture becomes syrupy. Remove from heat and strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl, discarding the solids.

Combine and Chill: In a large pitcher, combine the cooled green tea, blueberry syrup, and lemon juice. Stir well to blend all the flavors. Place the pitcher in the refrigerator and chill for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld.

Serve: To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes. Pour the chilled blueberry green tea over the ice and garnish each glass with a few fresh blueberries and mint leaves. Enjoy your refreshing iced drink!
