Ingredients

For the Meatballs:

1 lb ground beef (or ground pork)

1/4 cup breadcrumbs

2 green onions, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon ginger, grated

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 egg, beaten

Sesame seeds, for garnish

Fresh cilantro, for garnish

For the Spicy Mayo Dip:

1/2 cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons sriracha (adjust for spice level)

1 teaspoon lime juice

1 teaspoon sesame oil

Pinch of salt

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Make the Meatball Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, chopped green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, black pepper, and beaten egg. Mix until everything is well incorporated but be careful not to overmix.

Form the Meatballs: Use your hands to form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake the Meatballs: Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they are cooked through and browned on the outside.

Prepare the Spicy Mayo Dip: While the meatballs are baking, prepare the dip. In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sriracha, lime juice, sesame oil, and a pinch of salt until smooth and creamy. Adjust the sriracha according to your preferred spice level.

Garnish and Serve: Once the meatballs are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly. Garnish the meatballs with sesame seeds and fresh cilantro. Serve warm with the spicy mayo dip.
