Ingredients
  

1 teaspoon matcha green tea powder
1 cup milk of your choice (dairy, almond, oat)
1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
1/2 teaspoon chai spice blend (cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, and black pepper)
1/2 cup water
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Whipped cream or frothed milk for topping (optional)
Cinnamon stick or star anise for garnish (optional)

Method
 

Boil Water: In a small saucepan, bring 1/2 cup of water to a gentle boil.
    Prepare Matcha: In a small bowl, add the matcha green tea powder. Pour a small amount of the boiled water over the matcha and whisk vigorously with a bamboo whisk or a regular whisk until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
      Heat Milk: In the same saucepan, reduce the heat to low and pour in your milk of choice. Add the honey or maple syrup, chai spice blend, and vanilla extract (if using). Stir well and heat until steaming but not bubbling.
        Combine: Once the milk is heated, add the whisked matcha mixture to the saucepan. Stir until fully combined.
          Serve: Pour the matcha chai latte into your favorite mug. If desired, top with whipped cream or frothed milk, and garnish with a cinnamon stick or star anise for an extra touch.
