The first star player in this delightful drink is fresh strawberries. These juicy red berries are not only delicious but also incredibly nutritious. Strawberries are loaded with essential vitamins, particularly vitamin C, which is crucial for immune support. They are also high in antioxidants, which help combat oxidative stress in the body. Additionally, strawberries are a great source of dietary fiber, aiding in digestion and promoting feelings of fullness. Their natural sweetness and bright flavor make them the perfect base for our lemonade, providing a fruity punch that is both refreshing and satisfying.

Ingredients

1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

1 cup fresh pineapple, diced

1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4-6 lemons)

1/2 cup granulated sugar (or to taste)

4 cups cold water

Ice cubes

Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

In a blender, combine the sliced strawberries and diced pineapple. Blend until smooth.

Strain the blended mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove any solids. Use a spatula to push the liquid through, extracting as much juice as possible.

Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice to the pitcher along with the granulated sugar. Stir well until the sugar is fully dissolved.

Pour in the cold water and mix thoroughly. Taste and adjust the sweetness, adding more sugar if desired.

Refrigerate the strawberry-pineapple lemonade for at least 30 minutes to chill.

Serve in glasses filled with ice cubes, and garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
