Ingredients

4 cups seedless watermelon, cubed and frozen

1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4-5 lemons)

1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust for sweetness)

1 cup cold water

1-2 cups ice cubes

Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Lemon slices for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Watermelon: Start by cubing the watermelon and placing it in the freezer for at least 2-3 hours until fully frozen. This will give your slushie that perfect icy consistency.

Juice the Lemons: While your watermelon is freezing, squeeze the lemons to yield about 1 cup of fresh lemon juice. Remove any seeds that may have fallen in.

Blend It Up: In a blender, combine the frozen watermelon, lemon juice, sugar, and cold water. Blend until smooth. You may need to pulse a few times and scrape down the sides to ensure everything mixes well.

Add Ice for Texture: If you prefer a thicker slushie, gradually add ice cubes and blend again to achieve your desired consistency. Usually, 1-2 cups will do the trick.

Taste and Adjust: Taste the slushie and adjust sweetness if necessary by adding more sugar or a little more lemon juice as per your liking.

Serve: Pour the slushie into chilled glasses. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and a slice of lemon on the rim for a visual pop.

Enjoy: Sip your Refreshing Watermelon Lemonade Slushie immediately while it’s icy cold!
